As they say, the best comedians have the saddest stories to tell and the time has come for Vice Ganda to tell his own. In this episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya entitled “Bola”, his life story unfolds before us.

Vice was the youngest in a brood of five. His two older brothers were gay. Being the youngest and his father’s remaining hope to continue the legacy of their family name, he was pressured to keep his real gender preference to keep his family intact. It was only when his mother left the country to be a caregiver after his father’s death was Vice able to express himself openly and unlike his older brothers, he was never looked down by the people around him because of his talents and perseverance.
