On November 22, 2008, we witnessed the unfaltering love of a mother to her unborn child who, despite her delicate condition, chose to give chance to a new life than to extend hers. This was the story of Eloisa Salisi whose life story was featured on MMK in the episode “Sanggol”.

Eloisa is afflicted with breast cancer which is now in its terminal stage. At the time her story was shown, she was suffering from the effects of the cancer which has metastasized (spread) to her abdomen causing her intense pain. Because she was pregnant, all medications had to be stopped and she was left to endure all these pain. Eloisa needed surgery to alleviate her of her pain and through the generosity of various individuals from all over the world, Eloisa’s life made a turn around. She was put on bed rest and was initially scheduled to deliver on December 7, 2008 but because her condition was improving and the baby was not yet big enough, the delivery was moved to a latter date to give the baby higher chances of survival from prematurity.

On January 12, 2009, the day Eloisa didn’t think she would still live through happened as she gave birth to a lovely baby boy they named Amiel Ian Salisi.

Today, both mother and child are in good hands - thanks to all the financial blessings and the intercessions for her safe well-being. Watch the update of MMK on Eloisa below.
