Trying to put sense into senseless topics. =D

Young actor Joshua Dionisio shows acting prowess in this episode of Maaalala Mo Kaya entitled “Sako” where he plays a child laborer from Negros. He plays opposite Jay Manalo who plays the role of an abusive father and Ana Capri, his helpless mother.

This is the story of Giling (older Giling is played by Cris Villanueva), who, at a very young age was forced to eke out a living with his father and siblings in a sugar plantation in Negros. The slavery of working as a child laborer is no match for the kind of hardship he had to endure at the hands of his father.

This Maalaala Mo Kaya episode earned Joshua Dionisio his first acting performance when he was awarded “Best Single Performance by an Actor” at the 2008 PMPC Star Awards for Television.
