This episode of Maaalala Mo Kaya entitled “Traffic Light” features Mariel Rodriguez and Ryan Eigenmann in a sweet love story between a man and a woman who are seemingly poles apart.

Mariel plays the role of Janet, a young and fashionable Ilongga who lives under the wing of her two aunts in Manila away from her parents. Her family has high hopes for her: to go abroad and get rich. Unknown to them, the young lass only wishes for a simple life in the province with her family. She meets Philip (Ryan Eigenmann) at work, a silent loner with a horrible fashion sense. It was nothing but squabbles at first - until the two forge a friendship and eventually falls in love with each other.

Will they end up with each other? Or will she end up rich but miserable like how her Aunt Norma wanted her to be?
