27,765 out of the 64, 459 exam takers pass the Nurse Licensure Examinations held last June 2008. Aira Therese Salamanca Javier from the University of Santo Tomas topped the licensure exams with a rating of 86% according to the Professional Regulation Commission.

These are the requirements for registration:

1. Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
2. Current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
3. 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
4. 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
5. 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
6. 1 short brown envelope with name and profession

An Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2008-2011 shall be paid. Successful examinees are asked to personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oathtaking ceremony will be held before the Board on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 19 and 20, 2008, in the morning at 8:00 A.M. or in the afternoon at 1:00 P.M. at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Oathtakers must be in their white gala uniform, nurses cap and white duty shoes. There shall be no earrings worn and the hair should not touch the collar. There shall be no corsage.

Admission tickets oathtaking will be available starting August 1, 2008 in respective colleges of Nursing. Walk-in inductees who wish to join the ceremonies may secure admission tickets at the Philippine Nurses’ Association located at 1663 F.T. Benitez Street, Malate, Manila. Strictly first come, first served.
